Seoul Searching

Another check off my bucket list! Spending the last few days of summer in Seoul (which is sad huh because summer is about to end!!) Seoul is the capital and largest metropolis of South Korea, forming the heart of the Seoul Capital Area, which includes the surrounding Incheon metropolis and Gyeonggi province, the world's second largest metropolitan area with over 25.6 million people. It is home to over half of South Koreans along with 678,102 international residents. With a population of over 10 million, the megacity is the largest city proper in the OECD.

South Korea is a 4 hour flight from Manila. We left NAIA at 7:20 am then arrived at South Korea around past 11:00 am. from Incheon Airport to Seoul is a 1/2 hr drive. Our first stop is the Gyeongbokgung Palace.  Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty Built in 1395, it is located in northern Seoul, South Korea. The largest of the 5 Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty, Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings' households, as well as the government of Joseon.

Next stop is the N Seoul Tower. officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. At 236m, it marks the highest point in Seoul.
Built in 1971, the N Seoul Tower is Korea's first general radio wave tower, providing TV and radio broadcasting in Seoul. Currently, the tower broadcast signals for Korean media outlets, such as KBS, MBC and SBS.
